Dominique Wavre has just completed his first training and testing phase which involved 1,000nm of offshore sailing around Brittany and the Bay of Biscay: “We are very pleased with all the modifications to the boat,” said Dominique. “Our only regret is that we haven’t had any really rough conditions to train and test in during this phase.”
Mirbaud is scheduled to come out of the water to be faired and anti-fouled ahead of the Vendee Globe and while she is on the hard the riggers will give the mast and rigging a thorough check. This yard period is scheduled to take two weeks
After that, Dominique has scheduled another 10-12 day non-stop training period.
