Mirabaud co-skipper Michèle Paret has just had a short surgical operation and is seen around the Race Boat Fleet Dock with her right hand bandaged. According to Michèle she had a problem with the tendons in her thumb which were reducing her ability to grip.
So yesterday afternoon she chose to go to the Centro Médico Tecknon to have the tendon sheath treated in a short surgical procedure.
“The doctor told me that it should be fine in three to five days.” she commented with a smile this morning. Even already, with the finger bandaged, she says that movement and grip is much improved and the bandage does not impair her ability to complete the final work needing done as the Mirabaud duo prepare for the start of their second Barcelona World Race together.
